Sometimes people can take present giving too seriously, especially at Christmas. The whole point of Christmas is to have fun with family and friends and celebrate together, there should be some holiday jest in there somewhere. That is why at Christmas time, it may be a good idea to inject some fun into the occasion and stay away from overly serious, intensely thought out gifts. It can get boring opening some gifts, there are only so many clothes and CDs or books you can get excited about and there is nothing worse than opening the same gifts time and time again. What is fun, however, is an entertaining or unusual gift. One which captures your imagination or maybe you are not entirely sure what it is straight away. Gifts such as these are great for sharing with family and friends and can just be that little bit more exciting for the recipient.

Now, what exactly would be a funny present and who would appreciate it? It's safe to say that if you want to get funny presents for Christmas then there are many to choose from. It all depends on the recipient's sense of humour and what they are likely to find funny. Some people can be easily offended by some forms of humorous gifts so it's best to err on the side of caution if you don't know them too well. However, if you know the person well enough you should be able to find a funny gift just right for them without crossing the line, giving everyone a very merry Christmas.
