I'm proud of growing up in Dallas where has tons of things to do and never a dull moment.Therefore, with my experience, I will give you some list of things you can do in Dallas to make you have some fun.

 

Bars: If you don't mind driving a bit, Addison just outside of Dallas is a great place to go. There are plenty of restaraunts and bars along the main Addison strip. A personal favorite is Sherlocks Pub. Talk to a man named Tim to get a free drink on me if you go. Also in the Dallas area is a bar called The Ghost Bar. Entry is about $ 20 and drinks aren't cheap but if you go on the right night, you will run into a famous musician or two.

 

Entertainment: Dallas has some of the best museums around the metroplex so check those out. Also visit the Dallas Zoo or the Fort Worth zoo if it's a family experience you're looking for. And if you are on your own or with the family, another great place is the Dallas Aquarium. I took my family there and we had a great time for a cheap price.

 

Shopping: The Galeria is really nice mall full of great stores but it will cost you. If you are like me and like to save money then the Grapevine Mills mall is just around the corner of Dallas. While you're there check out the Rainforest Cafe. Great place to eat. Also around the corner from Dallas is the Allen outlet mall. The Allen mall is an outside mall so check the weather before making the trip. It can get to over 100 degress so you might want to throw on some shorts.

 

Movies: The Omni theatre is an awesome theatre if you have never been. Like the Imax it has the dome screen that blows you away while watching a movie.

If you don't like that, check out the new Rave theatre near North Richland Hills. Great place to see a movie. And my personal favorite is the Movie Tavern. Nothing says watching a movie in style like a place that serves alcohol while you watch.
